The Government of Purwakarta Regency Is Ready to Suppose the Population Census of 2020

The first population census was conducted in 1961. In 2020, the population census will be conducted in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics.

Population censuses are routinely conducted every 10 years which is a big activity for BPS. In contrast to the previous population census carried out manually, this time the population census was carried out online.

The online population census can be carried out independently or with the assistance of officers by using an android-based gadget device.

To answer these challenges, segmented, massive, and effective publicity is needed to invite the public to actively participate in SP2020.

Thus, the Purwakarta Regent is ready to provide full support to the Purwakarta Regency BPS in organizing the 2020 population census.

Head of Purwakarta Regency BPS and his staff visited the Purwakarta Regent's office. To convey the plan for the 2020 Population Census as well as requesting support from the Regional Government in the success of the 2020 Population Census.
